Where is this process used ?
It is used any process where precise, burr-free, stress-free, thin metal components are required. For more information see Products.

What metals can you mill ?
Almost all metals can be milled. There are very few exceptions such as Titanium and Tungsten that cannot be milled. For more information see Materials.

What is the thinnest metal that you can mill ?
We can mill any fine thickness metal such as 0.002” or less. For more information see Design Guidelines.

What is the thickest metal you can mill ?
This largely depends on the material and the required task. We can mill completely through a piece of metal up to 0.040”. In general it is easier to mill through yellow metals than through stainless steel. If only a decorative component such as a plaque or a half-milled line required, then the material can be thicker. For more information see Design Guidelines.

What are the achievable tolerances with this process ?
10% of the material thickness is the standard. Please contact us if you require more precise parts.

Can you make a mixed sheet of parts ?
This is possible, but only if all the parts are made from the same material and will be ordered in the same quantity ratio in the future.

What other services besides photochemical milling do you offer ?
We offer plating, selective plating, heat-treating, phototooling, and design advice all done in-house.
